The Executive Team

Don Gain, Ruby Thomas and Robert Kadis form Harmony's Executive Team. Each has a long history and strong foundation in the industry. All of them are known for mentoring others and for embracing new approaches while maintaining the best of the tried and true. It's a testament to their spirit of collaboration and engagement to effect change that they are all recognized as leaders and contributors to the development of the printing industry itself. With an Executive Team as balanced and diverse as this, Harmony remains positioned for a sustainable future.

Donald N. Gain, President
Don purchased the company from the founders in 1988. He continues to serve as president of the corporation, with active day-to-day supervision of the management group. Don also has a considerable involvement with industry-related organizations:

Past Chairman of the Board Ontario Printing and Imaging Association (OPIA)
Past Chairman of the Canadian Printing Industries Association (CPIA)
Serves on the Government Affairs committees of the CPIA
Serves on the Advisory Board of the Graphic Communications Management program at Ryerson University
Chairman of the Canadian Printing Industries Scholarship Trust Fund
Recipient of the CPIA Distinguished Industry Service Award (2002)
Honorary Lifetime Membership in the Canadian Printing Industries Association (2008)

Ruby Thomas, Vice President, Operations
With a strong background in accounting, Ruby has 35 years experience in the printing industry, including 27 years in an ownership position. She has been active in the provincial and national printing associations for more than 20 years, serving on various committees at both levels. Ruby's accomplishments and credentials include:

A former President of the Ontario Printing and Imaging Association
A former Chairperson of the Canadian Printing Industries Association
A Recipient of the CPIA Distinguished Industry Service Award
An Honorary Lifetime Member of the Canadian Printing Industries Association

Ruby accepted a position with Harmony Printing Limited in 2005 as Director of Business Development and was named Vice President, Operations in September 2007.

Robert Kadis, CA, Vice President, Finance & Administration
With 27 years in the printing industry, Bob has been active in print industry associations throughout his career. Bob's accomplishments and credentials include:

A former Chairperson of the CPIA
A former President of the OPIA
A recipient of the CPIA's ‘Distinguished Industry Service Award' (2006)
Currently serves as a Director on the Board of the Canadian Printing Industries Sector Council (CPISC)
